Core Responsibilities

The Volunteer Program Internship is flexible and rewarding for hard-working students. Providing direct support to the program team, this internship will
be coordinated and led by a Program Manager in Spark’s Chicago office.  Volunteer interns can expect to support projects that advance the goals of
the organization while building a professional portfolio.  Additional networking, training, and portfolio-building opportunities are available!
 
Projects may include:
  • Mentorship Operations
    • Support mentorship quality by supporting mentorship dispatch, visiting mentorships at work places, organizing company and school partner appreciation throughout the session and supporting Spark volunteer networking events.
  •  Volunteer Coordination and Tracking
    • Ensure safe and sound mentorships by verifying compliance of all paperwork for volunteers, maintaining Spark’s volunteer database (familiarity with Salesforce and Google Docs a plus), and assisting in planning logistics for and documentation of all mentorships.
  • Event Coordination
    • Support special event programs, such as: Match Days (student-mentor meet and greets) and Share Your Spark (culminating ceremony).
