Featured Food Trucks:

Mariscos Jalisco

Showcased on David Chang’s Netflix show “Ugly Delicious”, Mariscos Jalisco serves one of the best shrimp tacos in the US.  Owner Raul Ortega founded the truck 17 years ago in Boyle Heights focusing on cooking from his hometown of San Juan de Los Lagos in Jalisco, Mexico.  His truck has been recognized consistently as one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles by food critic Jonathan Gold.

Guerilla Tacos

From street cart to food truck and now a storefront in LA’s Arts District, Wes Avila – the genius behind Guerilla Tacos – pairs his fine dining background with dynamic flavor combinations to create tacos that are out of this world. Famous for their sweet potato variety accented with feta cheese and fried corn, you won’t want to miss this.

Carnitas El Momo

Recognized as the best in show taco in LA in 2014, Romolo “El Momo” Acosta has been cooking up his famous carnitas for over 40 years. Originally from Salamanca, Guanajuato, “El Momo” brings his own father’s coke syrup- infused special recipe to the streets of LA. Follow the lines -or their Instagram account- to find out where you can catch these must have tacos.

Hungry Yet? Save room for dessert….

Flash freezing frozen dessert? Yes, please. Scot Rubin, founder of Nitropod, uses liquid nitrogen to flash freeze ice cream at minus 321 degrees Fahrenheit resulting in the “smoothest, creamiest, best-tastig ice cream and sorbet in the world.”  Enjoy one of their specialties, Dragon’s Breath, fruity puffs with a blast of nitrogen that forces cold vapor out of your nose and mouth. A food experience you will never forget.
