Halloweentown

Spark Student Fatima was matched with Spark Mentor Mike at Hulu. Mike works in event planning so he helped Fatima design and plan a fundraising event for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles , to benefit families who cannot afford their child’s care. However, rather than a traditional gala-type fundraiser, Fatima wanted to engage donors and create a memorable moment for the sick children so they decided the fundraiser would be a Halloween carnival. The project board consisted of a letter from Fatima, different activities that would be offered, the event’s marketing plan and photos of what the event would look like. Their project was a smashing success and shed a light on the important work of the Children’s Hospital.
