Brandon loves skating. But, in his own words, he recognizes that, “There are some people who see skateboarding as a fool’s sport, not a real sport, or a sport for scums. I want them to learn that there is a different side to skateboarding in SF.” With the help of his Spark Mentor Ryan, who went to college for digital filmmaking, Brandon set about documenting skateboarding culture in San Francisco, using hand-shot mobile clips as well as footage/b-roll found online. The two worked to first finalize a script, create a shot list and storyboard, record voiceovers, gather footage, edit the film and put it all to music.
